🎂 Our Story
Every March and April, my house starts to feel like a wedding is coming. But it is not a wedding. It is my son's birthday.
In the first few years, this meant three or four weeks of hard work. I called venues. I compared activities. I sorted out cake and return gifts. I hoped nothing would go wrong. Over time, it got easier. This was mostly because of a strong group of parent friends. We told each other about new venues and hidden gems. Between our kids' birthdays, we went to more parties than I can count.
But after some time, I saw a pattern. Almost every party looked the same. More kids started asking for movie time or PS5 rooms instead of real play.
For me, a birthday was never meant to be like that. It is one of the few days in a year meant for real time with people you love. It is a day to run, laugh, and make a memory you will always remember.

That is when it hit me. Why is there no single platform where parents can find venues and artists that are truly checked by other parents? A platform that keeps kids away from screens and gives them real fun and masti?
And why only birthdays? A summer holiday, a normal Sunday, any day can be a day well spent.
That is why we built BachpanUnplugged.

Parvisha Swami is the founder of BachpanUnplugged.
By day, she works in software, spending much of her time exploring AI and new technology. She enjoys solving real problems and building things that make life simpler.
By evening and on weekends, she is a mother first. Her son's birthdays taught her something important — kids do not need more screens, they need more real fun.
Parvisha started BachpanUnplugged not as a directory, but as a place for parents to come together — to share the venues, artists, and little discoveries that made their own kids' celebrations special, so no other parent has to start from zero. Every review, every listing suggestion, every hidden gem shared here comes from a parent who has actually lived it.
She hopes BachpanUnplugged grows into something parents build together — one story, one review, one recommendation at a time.
